ROCK FALLS – Donna M. Berogan, 81, of Rock Falls, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Nov. 12, 1931, in Mowequa, she was a daughter of Loren and Fannie E. (Teter) Clevenger. She was united in marriage to Melvin F. Berogan on April 13, 1956, in Rock Falls.

Donna was a faithful member of First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling. She was a telephone operator with Illinois Bell for more than 26 years. Donna enjoyed bowling and getting together for lunch with the girls from Illinois Bell. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Club and volunteered with Hospice of the Rock River Valley and various church activities.

Surviving is her husband Melvin, of Rock Falls; a daughter, Brenda (John) Fox of Shawnee, Kansas; a son, Bryan (Lori) Berogan of Rock Falls; her brothers, Herb (Joyce) Clevenger of Sterling, Dale Clevenger of Dixon, Ken (Marilyn) Clevenger of Columbus, Wis., Chester (Ella) Clevenger of Tampico, and Herman “Tex” (Donna) Clevenger of Walnut; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, and a brother, Jim Clevenger.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Avenue in Sterling and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Robert Hasselbring, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls. A memorial has been established in her name to First Church of the Nazarene or Gaffey Hospice.
