Michael Jordan putting mansion up for auction

HIGHLAND PARK (AP) — Michael Jordan has been unable to sell his sprawling estate north of Chicago despite amenities that include a gentleman's retreat, nine bedrooms, a pool pavilion and an indoor basketball court.

He even knocked the price down to $21 million. Still, no takers.

So, he's putting his longtime residence in Highland Park up for auction next month.

The home was originally listed at $29 million in early 2012.

Concierge Auctions will see if it can unload the property on Nov. 22.

In touting the home, the auctioneer says it is set on more than 7 "immaculately landscaped" acres and "offers the ultimate in privacy and luxury."

The gentleman's retreat comes complete with a billiard parlor, fireplace, library, a full wet bar and the original doors from the Playboy Mansion in Chicago.
