Reading oasis coming to Amboy Central

AMBOY – This year’s Reading Oasis Amboy Central Parent Teacher Committee Book Fair will be Nov. 4-8 at Amboy Central School, 30 E. Provost St.

The fair will be open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, with extended hours from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

The book fair offers books and educational products, including new releases, award-winning titles, children’s classics, adult books, and current bestsellers from more than 100 publishers.

Go to http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/amboycentralschool for online ordering. Books ordered online will be shipped to the school at no charge and will be available for pick-up the week after Thanksgiving. The online book fair opens Monday and closes Nov. 16.

The book fair also is offering pre-orders for “Diary of A Wimpy Kid 8.” Orders must be placed by Tuesday and will ship to the school beginning Nov. 5. Pre-order forms will be sent home with students.

All proceeds benefit the Central School PTC and the Amboy Central School library. The PTC supports Central School teachers and students by purchasing important classroom materials and equipment, paying portions of field trip costs, and contributing to good behavior rewards and incentives.
