Not inappropriate

What has this country come to where a classy picture of a well-respected city official is represented as “racy” and “provocative”? [“Pin-up photo on local magazine cover?”, Sauk Valley Media, Oct. 16.]

She does not have her shirt hanging open showing cleavage, and her skirt is an appropriate length. She is not posing on the rock in an inappropriate manner, but rather leaning back to support herself like most people do when sitting on a rock.

I have seen way more provocative and racy outfits on bank tellers, women shopping at Walmart, mothers dropping off their children at school, and even high school teachers.

In a country where everything normal is deemed inappropriate, while sex on TV is an everyday occurrence, people need to re-evaluate what racy and provocative mean.
