Memorial shirts for local girl still available

ROCK FALLS – T-shirts can be ordered yet today in memory of Dinah Attebury, a 12-year-old Rock Falls girl who died Aug. 12 from injuries received in a go-cart accident.

The shirts are all adult sizes, costing $15 for small through extra large or $17 for 1X through 3X. Orders can be placed by calling Christal Rascoe at 815-499-3522 or Karyn Hollenbach at 815-631-1649. More orders may be taken if enough demand exists.

A benefit will be at noon Oct. 27 at Cochran’s Pub, 13464 Galt Road in Sterling, to help defray remaining expenses, part of which are Dinah’s headstone and memorial bench at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Sterling. There will be no cost to attend. An auction, cakewalk, food, face-painting, raffles, a bounce house, bake sale, and music will be among the entertainment. A 50/50 drawing will take place, with tickets costing $1 each or $5 for six.

Dinah, a Prophets-town-Lyndon-Tampico Middle School
student, was the daughter of Ryan Attebury
and Marie Howard, both of Rock Falls. She has a sister, Andrea Weitenbeck, 15, and a brother, Damian Attebury, 13.

The Dinah Attebury Memorial fund has been established at all Community State Bank locations. Checks may be made out to the Dinah Attebury fund.
