Local volunteer goes to Colorado

MORRISON – Cynthia Waters of Morrison has taken on the position of client casework manager for the American Red Cross in Colorado.

She was deployed for 3 weeks along with 11 other volunteers to help with the affects of flooding in the state. The Red Cross is prepared to assess damage, distribute relief supplies and support recovery efforts.

Donations are being sought to help flood victims in Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. Go to www.redcross.org, call 800-733-2767, or mail to the American Red Cross Lincoln Land Branch, 112 W. Second St., Rock Falls, IL 61071, to make a donation.
