June P. Johnson

STERLING – June P. Johnson, 79, of Sterling, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at University of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison.

June was born June 1, 1934, in Aitkin, Minn., the daughter of Phillip and Daisy (Rundall) Dye. She married Louis H. Johnson on March 8, 1952, in Sterling.  

Survivors include her husband of Sterling; three sons, Tom Johnson and Gordon Johnson, both of Sterling, and Robert Johnson of Dixon; two sisters, Marjorie Miller of Tampa, Fla., and Elaine (Byron) Hunt of Union City, Ind.; one brother, Earl (Alice) Peterson of St. Paul, Minn.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, and the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sterling. Private family burial will be at a later date. McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
