Concert season kicks off Sunday

DIXON – Canterbury Concerts’ 30th season will start Sunday with “Going to the Movies,” a concert at 5 p.m. at the Historic Dixon Theatre, 114 S. Galena Ave.

The 60-piece Metropolis Symphony from Chicago will be conducted by Tim Boles, performing pieces from the Harry Potter films, “Star Wars,” “Star Trek,” “2001: A Space Odyssey,” and other films.

Tickets are available in advance at Trein’s Jewelry, 201 W. First St., and The Next Picture Show, 113 W. First St., or Sunday at the theater door.
