Loves Park man in serious condition after crash

46-year-old was taken to Rockford hospital

OREGON – A Loves Park man was in serious condition Friday, authorities said, after his car sideswiped another before striking a mailbox and then continuing onto private property Thursday.

According to a news release from the Ogle County Sheriff’s Department, Bruce Wilderman, 46, was having “some type of medical problem” while traveling north on Daysville Road in Oregon, where he lost control of his car.

The driver of the other car involved in the accident was uninjured.

Wilderman was taken to OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford on Thursday evening.
