DIXON – A Dec. 9 trial has been set for a Dixon man accused of causing the death of his 3-month-old daughter.

Prosecutors say that in September 2010, Charles T. George, 35, shook his 3-month-old daughter, Tamari, before dropping her to the ground. She died 5 days later at a Rockford hospital.

He is charged with two counts of aggravated battery of a child, aggravated domestic battery, and involuntary manslaughter.

George is in Lee County Jail on $1 million bond. His final pretrial conference is scheduled for Nov. 21.
