Tressa L. Willstead-Sheely

POLO – Tressa L. Willstead-Sheely, 93, of Polo, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at her home. She was a homemaker and farmer’s wife.

She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Smithfield, the daughter of Fred and Vina (Dick) Orwig. She married Kenneth Willstead on Feb. 6, 1939, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1979. She then married Raymond Sheely in September 1980. He preceded her in death in October 2005. She was a member of Disciples of Christ Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Nelda (Ronald) Bergsten of Whitewater, Wis., Merla (Bill) Brooks of Marble Hill, Mo., Florence Wragg of Polo, and Paula (Gene) Schick of Warren; nine grandchildren: 17 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one sister, Alice (Leroy) Riley of Canton.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Private graveside services were at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. There will be a public memorial service at a later date. Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon is handling arrangements.
