Information, assistance available for female veterans

ROCKFORD – The Northern Illinois Conference for Female Veterans will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 26 at All Veterans Memorial Hall, 211 N. Main St.

The free program is open to women veterans. Refreshments will be provided. Children can attend, but must be supervised by their parents.

Information on programs supporting women veterans will be provided from local, state, and federal agencies. A get-yourself-ready-for-professional-attire fashion show will take place.

An open forum featuring area agencies will be presented. Linda McClenehan of the Racine Dominicans will present an optional spiritual workshop for veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress.
