STERLING – Brandon Michael Kiro, 21, of Sterling, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash in Sterling. He had been employed at Sterling Rail Services.

He was born May 16, 1992, in Sterling, the son of Michael Joseph and Brenda Lee (Nesbitt) Kiro. He attended Rock Falls schools and earned his general equivalency degree.

Survivors include his infant son, Kole Kiro; his father, Michael Kiro (Kali West) of Sterling; his mother, Brenda Kiro of Sterling; his brother, Richard C. Ward of Rock Falls; his sisters, Carrie Cowley and Megan Kiro, both of Rock Falls; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Nesbitt of Sterling; and his paternal grandmother, Gloria Pendzinski of Geneva.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother and his maternal grandfather.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Ave., Rock Falls. Private burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
