Participate in local job fair

Published: Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 1:15 a.m. CDT

A job and resource fair will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Mount Morris Moose Lodge, 101 Moose Drive. Heaven knows we need it.

There are still many unemployed who possibly need assistance from other resources. My goal is to bring those resources to people in our area. Too often, people hear of it after the fact, or have no way to travel far, etc. So I decided to organize one in our area, and it is open to the general public, no matter where you are from.

October is a busy month for everyone, and I am still working to confirm more vendors to participate. There are still four vendors for me to hear back from yet (everyone is very interested). I will keep everyone posted with any updates.

Any employer, business, employment agency, local organization, continuing education, etc., interested in participating is welcome to still attend. There is no charge to the vendor who wishes to participate. There are plenty of tables and chairs and free Wifi (people should plan on bringing their own laptop, IPad, tablet, etc.). There is ample parking and handicap accessibility.

Any vendor wishing to participate must please contact me as soon as possible by email at grannys-apples@hotmail.com or call me at 815-291-7757.
