Man dies after motorcycle crash

STERLING – A Sterling man died in Rockford on Wednesday after a motorcycle accident on East Lynn Boulevard on Tuesday evening.

Brandon M. Kiro, 21, was riding east in the 700 block of East Lynn Boulevard shortly after 10:30 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle, skidding across the road before coming to a stop in the westbound lanes, according to a news release from the Sterling Police Department.

Kiro was taken to CGH Medical Center and then transferred to OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, where he died at 11:41 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office. His official cause of death was not yet available Wednesday evening.
