MOUNT CARROLL – Timber Lake Playhouse will show its annual interactive presentation of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at 9 p.m. Oct. 26 at the playhouse, 8215 Black Oak Road.

Tickets are $15. They can be purchased at the door, or in advance at www.timberlakeplayhouse.org or by calling 815-244-2035. Interactive prop bags may be purchased for $10 each. Doors will open at 8:30 p.m. The movie, starting Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Barry Bostwick, parodies B-movie, science fiction, and horror films of the late 1940s to the early 1970s.

The movie is rated R, and no children younger than 17 are allowed to attend unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Hot dogs and rice may not be brought into the theater, and open flames of any kind are illegal in public theaters in Illinois.

A costume contest will take place, with prizes for first, second, and third place. Costumes may be related to the film or can be original. A limited number of prop bags will be available the day of the show, but pre-ordering tickets and prop bags is recommended.
