Emilie P. Keller

POLO – Emilie P. Keller, 75, of Polo, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. 

Emilie was born March 10, 1938, in Carroll County, the daughter of Joseph A. and Edna Marie (Senneff) Olson. She was united in marriage to James “Jim” Keller on June 10, 1959, in Morrison.

She was the clerk for Eagle Point Township for many years. She also farmed in Carroll and Ogle counties all her life, and drove the bulk milk pickup route. Emilie loved to sew, do needlepoint, knit, paint, and cook. She was an avid mower. She also loved taking long walks in the timber with her beloved Yorkie, Korky.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; daughter, Jamie (Kevin) Budden of Freeport; and granddaughter, Raegan Budden of Polo, formerly of Freeport.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Judy, in infancy, and JoAnn Lawton.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday and the service at 6 p.m. Friday at Polo Family Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
