If bill has a ‘PITA charge,’ challenge it

I recently moved to this community and, being excited about purchasing a home, I quickly resourced many people I knew about reputable contract carpenters.

Not only did I believe I had a great one, I even phoned people who he had worked for on their homes and who were very pleased. I was, also, until I got the bill. That is why I am writing. I had a charge on the bill that stated “PITA charge.” It was large.

I had the good sense to look up what this charge was for, and many people would not even give it a second thought. The letters stand for “pain in the a--.”

I know, this blew my mind also. When I questioned my contractor what this charge was, he said to disregard it. I stated, Ya, I know what that means.

I hope this helps others. People who have no access to the Internet or people who are too trusting of others would have just paid that bill. Made me sick.
