DIXON – Barbara M. “Barb” Rozek, 48, of Dixon died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at home after battling cancer. 

Barb graduated from Amboy High School and Western Illinois University. She worked for Marshall Salon Services in Dixon for 6 years until it closed.

She was born on Aug. 18, 1965, in Dixon, the daughter of Robert J. and Eileen (Rock) Oester. She married Gregg Rozek on March 28, 1992, in Denver.

She is survived by her husband; children, Cody, 19, Caitlin, 17, and Cristen, 15, all at home; five sisters, Sheila Oester of Wisconsin, Linda (Jim) Murphy of Champaign, Cathy (Kim) Kromm of Amboy, Maureen (Ralph) Henning of Batavia, and Ann (Doug) Reist of North Aurora; five brothers, Bill (Linda) Oester and Tim (Maureen) Oester, both of Amboy, John Oester of Long Beach, Calif., Dan (Patti) Oester of Flanagan, and Steve (Michelle) Oester of Arvada, Colo.; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Phyllis Rozek of Mount Prospect; sisters-in-law, Teri O’Neill of Chicago and Stephanie (Scott) Becker of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Joseph in infancy and Bob.

Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Walton, with Monsignor Thomas Bales officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy. 

A memorial has been established to the Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
