Pigs near city can take your breath away

It is hard to pass by the corner in Sterling where Applebee’s, the movie theaters, Menards, and several other well-frequented businesses are without noticing the aroma present. I am, of course, referring to the pig operation running there.

If any of you have not experienced this treat, just stand in the parking lot of Applebee’s. There is nothing that can take your breath away quite like a pig farm.

I bear no malice for this operation, but there is substantial truth to the old saying “Happier than a pig in (you know what),” and these are very happy pigs that old farmer Koster is raising.

My guess is that there is something going on in the background that we sinus suffers are missing. Did farmer Koster receive a speeding ticket that rankled him? Is he mad at Applebee’s or the Mobil station, or maybe he is upset with everyone in Sterling.

He obviously has an agenda, and he is mad. Why, oh why, did it have to be pigs?
