STERLING – Rhonda Lorraine Carrier Topp, 46, of Sterling, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at her home, after a long battle with lung, bone, and brain cancer.

Rhonda was born Jan. 16, 1967, in Sterling. She was the daughter of Judy (Marshall) and the late William “Bill” James and Robert Carrier. She worked at Menards in Sterling for 16 years. She loved to spend her spare time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.

She always will be watching over her one son, Robert (Priscella Reyes) Ellis of Sterling; her parents, Judy James and Robert Carrier; her boyfriend, Charles Roubicek of Sterling; three sisters, Susie and Beverly Bullock, both of Mississippi, and Tiffany (Jimmy) Garcia of Sterling; one brother, Tracy James of Cincinnati; her one granddaughter, Melody Morales; and two grandsons, Brayden and Matthew Ellis.

Rhonda was greeted in heaven by her brother, Dennis Carrier; her stepfather, William “Bill” James; her aunt, Shirley Clevenger; and several other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Ave., Sterling. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Porter officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for her grandchildren.
