DIXON – Dorothy Alice Wolford, 95, of Dixon, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Heritage Square in Dixon.  

Dorothy was born Nov. 3, 1917, in Dixon, the daughter of Samuel and Minnie (Boehme) Wirth. She married George J. Wolford on Aug. 21, 1937, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2001. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon.

Survivors include two sons, Grant (Connie) Wolford and Terry (Cheryl) Wolford, both of Dixon; six grandchildren, Marti Grabowski, Megan Smith, Robert Wolford, Brandahl Wolford, Kim Parker, and Stacie McCullough; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Raymond Wirth.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Monday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with the Rev. Janet Wittenmyer, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Heritage Square.
