Benjamin J. ‘BJ’ Voss

SOMERSET, Mass. – Benjamin J. “BJ” Voss, 35, of Somerset, formerly of Sterling, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, in Warwick, R.I. He was member of the Somerset Police Department.

Benjamin was born Sept. 15, 1977, in Sterling, the son of Cynthia (Oltmanns) and Robert L. Voss. He married Elizabeth A. Cordeiro.

Survivors include his wife; his mother of Woonsocket, R.I.; his father of Arizona; two sons, Alex J. Voss and Javier D. Cepeda, both of Somerset; a brother, Joseph P. Voss of Bellingham, Mass.; a sister, Rebecca G. Hawkins of Chepachet, R.I.; his maternal grandparents, Wanda and Loren Oltmanns of Sterling; his paternal grandmother, Carol Voss of Sterling; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial was Sept. 13 at St. Thomas More Church in Somerset, Mass. Hathaway Community Home for Funerals in Somerset is handling arrangements.
