Quilt show coming to Baptist church

DIXON – The Petunia City Quilters will host Quiltapalooza.

The quilt show will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 11 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Northside Baptist Church, 598 River Lane.

A display of quilts made by guild members, vendors, raffle baskets, bake sale, boutique, and a raffle quilt will be featured.

Quilt appraisals and scissor sharpening also will be available.

In addition, there will be a display of pink breast cancer challenge quilts. Some of these quilts will be in a silent auction to raise money for underinsured or uninsured women to help pay for mammograms.

Alexandra Schwietzer will be there for quilt appraisals. The cost for the appraisal is $45. To make an appointment, call Pat at 815-625-2006.
