Program focuses on student safety

OREGON – Parents and other community members can attend “Keeping Your Kids Safe,” a presentation at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the new gym at Oregon Elementary School, 1100 Jefferson St.

Douglas Petit, a member of Parents and Teens Together, based in Carol Stream, will speak about teenagers and alcohol, and how to keep children safe. He lost his son in June 2005 in connection with an underage drinking party.
