‘Will Rogers’ will visit senior center

OREGON – Rock River Center will welcome a Will Rogers interpreter Oct. 13.

Rogers was a famous cowboy, vaudeville performer, humorist, social commentator, and actor in the 1920s and 1930s.

Andy Hogan, a historical guide at Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore, Okla., will present the free program at 7 p.m. Oct. 13 at the center, 810 S. 10th St.

Donations will be accepted for his travel expenses.

Event sponsors are the center, Friends of Oregon Public Library, and Ogle County Historical Society.
