Insurance help available in Dixon

DIXON – Lee County Health Department was one of 82 health departments selected in the state to assist in the outreach and enrollment effort for the Affordable Care Act. 

The Illinois Association of Public Health Administrators received a grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health in coordination with the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace.

Counselors will provide information on coverage options, eligibility, affordability, qualified plans, tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, and Medicaid at LCHD, 309 S. Galena Ave.  

Enrollment will begin Tuesday, and coverage will start Jan. 1, at the department.
