Hospice training starts Oct. 16

OREGON – Serenity Hospice & Home will have volunteer orientation and training in October at 1658 S. state Route 2.

Classes will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 16, 17, 23, and 24.

The focus of hospice care is to enhance the quality of life and support the patient and family through terminal illness.

Duties duties include helping in the office, sewing, baking, gardening, running errands, and visiting with patients in their home, at the nursing home or Serenity Home.
