Dixon artist earns Best of Show

DIXON – Hiersche Centennial Farm received a ribbon in the Farms & Barns show at The Next Picture Show.

The watercolor, which took Best of Show, was by Ellen Mumford of Dixon.

Judy Dixon of Dixon won first place for her watercolor, Rock River Picnic.

Other winners were Steve Johnson of Chicago, second place, oil painting of Farmhouse Pumpkin Patch; Bill Delp of Savanna, third place for his photography, Winter Storage; and honorable mention to Graydon Cafarella of Dixon for his watercolor, Winter Sunset, and Kitto of Dixon, for acrylic work, Campo.

The show was judged by David Becker of Chicago, an illustrator, fine artist, and art instructor.

The works will be on display through Oct. 17.
