Detroit’s Jonas Gustavsson, expected to back up Jimmy Howard this season, stopped 21 of 23 shots in two periods. Jared Coreau turned aside all 11 Chicago shots in the third.

Super Bowl tickets to spike in price

The most expensive tickets for the 2014 Super Bowl, to be held Feb. 2 at  MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., will be $2,600.

That’s more than twice the $1,250 cost for similar tickets at last season’s Super Bowl in New Orleans. About 9,000 seats will be priced at $2,600. The next tier of seats is expected to go for $1,500, compared to $950 in New Orleans. About 40 percent of general admission seats will be under $1,000.
