DIXON – Rudolph H. “Rudy” Goede, 80, of Dixon, died at 9:13 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at Manor Court in Clinton, Ill.

Rudy was born Nov. 20, 1932, in Chicago, the son of Adolph and Anna (Braun) Goede. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 in Korea. Rudy married Audrey C. Gilgen on Oct. 18, 1969, in Glen Ellyn. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Dixon. Rudy also was a member of the Rock Island Technical Society and the Illinois Railway Museum. He was an avid model railroader and model aviator.   

Survivors include his wife, Audrey C. Goede of Dixon; his son, Adrian C. (Melissa) Goede of Maroa; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Janet Baldwin.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton, with Jeff Brunsman officiating. Interment with graveside military honors will be at Maroa Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Dixon Public Library.
