MORRISON – Dorothy J. Decker-Boonstra, 85, of Morrison, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at her home. She was employed by General Electric Co. in Morrison for 25 years. 

Dorothy was born Nov. 17, 1927, in Morrison, the daughter of Dewey and Johanna (Bielema) Hamstra. She married Harold Decker on Sept. 14, 1945, in Morrison. He died April 8, 1995. She married Frank J. Boonstra on April 8, 1997. He died April 17, 2006. Dorothy was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison.

Survivors include two sons, Duane Decker of Rock Falls and Gordon Decker of Morrison; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Hamstra of Morrison.

She also was preceded in death by one sister, Alma Meinema; and two brothers, Marvin and Ralph Hamstra.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Ken Renkes, director of congregational care at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison. Internment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

A memorial has been established to Ebenezer Reformed Church.
