Fall festival features car show, craft sale

FULTON – The annual Fulton Fall Festival will be held Oct. 5 downtown, and Oct. 5 and 6 at Heritage Canyon, 515 N. Fourth St.

Most downtown events will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that Saturday, including a free classic car cruise-in and an outdoor arts and crafts show. Booth space is available and costs $35.

On the main stage, Breanna Eissens will sing at 11 a.m., Jennifer’s Dance Studio members will perform at 11:30 a.m., and Mellennia Martial Arts at 12:30 p.m.

The Rope Warrior will give a demonstration at 1:30 p.m. Mr. G. Juggler will walk the streets from 1 to 3 p.m.

Three on the Tree will play from 6 to 10 p.m. at Denny O’s, 307 10th Ave., and The Dirt Road Rockers from 8 p.m. to midnight at Johnnie’s Tap, 118 N. Fourth St. Both bars will have beer gardens during the day.

A children’s story hour and craft time begins at 10:30 a.m. at Schmaling Public Library, 501 10th Ave. Fulton police are holding a public safety day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Robert Fulton Community Center, 912 Fourth St., where there also will be a fall plant sale from 8 to 11 a.m.

Inflatables, a petting zoo, train rides, pumpkin painting, games, clowns and balloon artists, a straw bale maze, and make-and-take crafts will be among the other activities.

The Windmill Cultural Center, 110 10th Ave., is holding a bake-off using fresh-ground flour from De Immigrant windmill.

Early American Crafters will demonstrate life in a pioneer village from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Heritage Canyon, 515 N. Fourth St.

There will be a Native American lodge where visitors can learn their crafts, games, and traditions.

Saturday, family photos will be taken by the Rosebud Mission Team, the String-A-Longs dulcimer group will perform, and a dulcimer workshop will be offered at 2 p.m.

Admission to the canyon is $2 for adults and $1 for children.
