Linda L. Norris

AMBOY – Linda Lee Norris, 50, of Amboy, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, peacefully in her sleep, at her home.

She was born June 4, 1963, in Arlington Heights, the daughter of Chester and June (Lezotte) Skoneczka. Linda was the youngest of seven children. She attended Conat High School in Hoffman Estates.

She loved fishing, gardening, her White Sox, and most of all, her dogs. Linda married Brett Norris on June 8, 1991, in Waukegan. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Linda is survived her husband of Amboy; her two daughters, Tara and Katie, both at home; grandson, Ayden (son of Tara); three sisters, Donna (Larry) Newbanks of Huntley, Joanie (John) Steffen of Huntsville, Ala., and Sandy (Kamil) Najeeb of Arizona; one brother, Dennis (Marilyn) Skoneczka of Arizona; sister-in-law, Alice Skoneczka of Elk Grove Village; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael; and her sister, Susan.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday and the memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main St., Huntley, with the Rev. Mark Boster officiating. Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy is handling local arrangements.
