We wish to express our sincere gratitude to all who participated in, and attended, the Dixon Lioness Labor Day Craft Show in John Dixon Park.
Thank you to all of our wonderful crafters and vendors. Because of you, we can fund many of our service projects to help those in need in our community.
We also want to thank all who came out to the park and supported our participating crafters and vendors. Many Dixon Lionesses were in attendance to provide coffee and muffins, a barbecue lunch, and help make sure the show ran smoothly for everyone.
Special thanks to Larry Hoyle for making coffee and to Matt Hoyle for sweeping those pesky acorns off the walkways. Thank you to Marty Hey for serving up homemade waffle cones and ice cream – a real treat for a warm day.
The Dixon Lioness Club has many fundraising service projects, including the Labor Day craft show in the park, the annual fall auction, 50/50 raffle, holiday craft and vendor show, and spring dinner.
Money from those projects supports Camp Lions, the Center for Sight and Hearing Impaired, Dixon Food Pantry, KSB Hospice, Hospice of the Rock River Valley, Special Olympics, Toys for Tots, Kreider Center, PADS, Tools for School, Happy Tails, and several college scholarships.
We are proud to be a part of the Dixon Lioness Club, 34 years strong and more than 70 members. Together we accomplish what no single individual could.
Note to readers: Vicki Long and Shari Dysart are co-chairwomen of the craft shows.
