On behalf of Shining Star Children’s Advocacy Center and Court Appointed Special Advocates, I would like to convey a heartfelt thank you to all those who participated in, or donated to, our 2013 golf outing.

Seventy golfers came out on Aug. 23 to Lost Nation Golf Club to support us and the children and families who we serve. We are committed to protecting all abused and neglected children in our communities.

However, our mission is one that we cannot accomplish alone. It takes all of us. Whether it’s through your daily work, your volunteerism, your donations, or your participation at events like this, it takes all of us to protect our children.

Together, our agencies serve hundreds of children from Lee, Ogle, and Carroll counties each year. However, we could not do what we do without the generous support of a caring community.

Once more, on behalf of Shining Star and CASA staff, board members, and the children and families that we serve, thank you for your commitment, support, and generosity.

Special thanks to our sponsors: Chris Hammitt State Farm; Dixon Ford Lincoln Volkswagen Mazda; Byron Bank; Community State Bank; Prescott Brothers Ford Mercury Inc.; Holcomb State Bank; Lee County State’s Attorney Anna Sacco-Miller; Smith and Morrow, P.C.; Do It Best Corp.; Northridge Properties; KSB Hospital; Law Offices of Fearer, Nye and Chadwick; Culver’s; First National Bank in Amboy; Spectrum Meats Inc.; Dan’s Wrecker Service; D and W Garage Inc.; Fischers Inc.; Ogle County Juvenile Justice Council; Foundation for Focus House; Richard Montavon, Country Financial; Civil Constructors; Law Offices of Thomas D.
