STERLING – Eva Degraffenreid, 57, of Sterling, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Eva was born on July 9, 1956, in Princeton, the daughter of Earl Jacobs and Charmaine (Deyo) Steve. She married Derant Degraffenreid on June 15, 1980, in Sterling. Eva owned and operated My Other Mother Day Care in Sterling. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Sterling.
Survivors include her husband; her parents, Earl (Bertha Mae) Jacobs of Harmon and Charmaine Steve of Sterling; three daughters, Keonna Charmaine (Jake) Henson of Byron, and Deonna Degraffenreid and Deann Degraffenreid, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Anthony (Wendy) Felder of Rock Falls and Perry (Tina) Gilmore of Aliceville, Ala.; one sister, Debbie (James) Lawson of Dixon; one brother, Jeffrey (Kelly) Jacobs of Walnut; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday and the funeral at 2 p.m. Sunday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
