LEXINGTON, Ky. – Dr. Tod M. Diffenbaugh, 49, of Lexington, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at his home.

He was born Oct. 27, 1963, in Sterling, the son of the late Alvin Jay and Janet Elaine (Moore) Diffenbaugh. Dr. Diffenbaugh was a 1994 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry, and was an optometrist for Stratton Eyes in Lexington.

Survivors include three sisters, Lynn Clark and Tammy Vinson, both of Sterling, and Sonya Cherry of Davis Junction; two brothers, Steve (Loraine) Diffenbaugh of Sterling and Loren Diffenbaugh of Rock Falls; special friend, Dr. Richard Ramirez of Lexington; nieces, Tai Diffenbaugh, Mariah Diffenbaugh, Dahley Vinson, and Amanda Diffenbaugh; and a great-nephew, Liam Diffenbaugh.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Toby Diffenbaugh.

Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Saturday and a memorial service at 4 p.m. Saturday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, with Mark Stratton, minister, officiating.
