STERLING – The Sterling-Rock Falls Family YMCA is kicking off a new quarterly teen program with a concert from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday featuring local teen performers.

Drew Dawson, Raven Valdivia, Jordyn Martin, Abby Noble, and Love Party will perform, and there will be games, raffles, and door prizes.

“It’s an exciting, great new initiative, especially for middle and high school teens,” Melissa Ryan, YMCA youth development director, said in a news release.

“Right now, teens have few places to socialize in the Sauk Valley area on Saturday nights. The Sterling-Rock Falls Family YMCA provides a safe place for teens to meet and engage in constructive and positive activities” Ryan said.

The concert is open to all ages. Admission is $2, concessions will be available.

Future teen events will include an OverTime Teen Night in October and a winter dance in January.
