Help Caring Center at its fall fundraiser

Published: Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 1:15 a.m. CDT

On Friday, Sept. 27, the Caring Center will have its third annual fundraiser at the Sterling Moose Club in Sterling. The theme for this year’s event will be “Harvest Moon,” and we encourage everyone to enjoy the decorations and big band music from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10, and we hope everyone can attend. But if you cannot attend, purchasing a ticket would be a wonderful way to express your Christian generosity.

The Caring Center performs real Christian service in the Sauk Valley area by providing free clothing to needy families. The many volunteers participate in Jesus’ calls to help the needy and less fortunate.

If you have not been to the Caring Center, please stop by the center at the foot of Locust Street next to Verifacts in downtown Sterling, and see personally the wonderful work that is taking place there. While donations of clothing and offers to volunteer your services are appreciated, you can help by simply attending the fundraiser.

The band plays all types of music but specializes in the big band sound that provides listening and dancing opportunities for everyone. Free refreshments will be served, and a silent auction will undoubtedly provide bargains.

The event is not only fun but provides you an opportunity to support this wonderful Christian organization in its work.

We hope to see you at “Harvest Moon.” Thank you.
