What about rights of city well owners?

Published: Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 1:15 a.m. CST

A man killed four people and a baby in our area awhile back. We are paying a public defender thousands of dollars to protect his rights. What about the rights of the people he killed?

There are more than 200 taxpaying people in Rock Falls who are having the city leaders steal our water wells. What about our rights? Now I learn our city leaders take non-employees out of town. That’s stealing our tax dollars.

They don’t have money to fix our roads, but they have money for city workers to drive city pickups home at night. Who is paying for the gas? One worker from the city lives south of Rock Falls and drives home for lunch. Is he paying for the gas?

Madigan’s office said to start a small claims court action. Taking these leaders [to court] will teach them a lesson – more than 200 times for each city leader. That should get action started. Money should start flowing for what the city and its leaders are doing to us taxpayers. It’s time to start a recall of them.

We have people in this city who could do a heck of a lot better job. We need good, honest people working for us.
