With a stream of water to the face, Polo running back senior Jeff Kimpel cools off in the first quarter of Friday night's game in East Dubuque.

It took just 1 week for Milledgeville to match its win total from the 2012 season.

The Missiles went on the road Friday night and earned a 30-15 victory against Warren in a Northwest Upstate Illini Upstate contest. Milledgeville’s lone win a year ago was against Durand.

Kameron DawTyne hooked up with Jordan Harris on a 35-yard touchdown pass to stake Milledgeville to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. The Missiles took that lead into halftime.

Warren scored on its first possession of the third quarter to seize a 7-6 lead, but it was all Missiles the rest of the way. DawTyne scored on runs of 10 and 41 yards to grab an 18-7 lead in the third quarter.

Milledgeville continued to pour it on with two scores in the fourth. They were on a 58-yard run by Colton Morgan and a 15-yard run from Daniel Walker. Warren scored late to account for the final score.

East Dubuque 33, Polo 6: The Marcos fell to NUIC Upstate opponent East Dubuque on the road.

In a night with the area full of frustrating weather delays, this game was no exception. East Dubuque experienced techincal difficulties, and the game was delayed 45 minutes due to light failure.
