Dear Riverfront Commission:
It is great that the Heritage Crossing was built. It adds a lot to the Riverfront, and people really enjoy the way it looks.
But for some reason, you feel you need floating docks just west of the stone stairs to destroy the beautiful, peaceful setting. If you must build floating boat slips for a few people, build them west of the Peoria bridge or east of the Galena bridge.
If you really get a great idea, maybe you could take the $177,000 and use it toward eliminating the shortage of parking spaces in town. I’m sure more people would appreciate that.
