Inmate disputes jailers’ account

Regarding the article “Short on funds, long on time,” SV Weekend, Aug. 10:

One of the worst assistant wardens [I] have ever seen was working just a year ago. I was jailed July 15, 2012, on a theft charge.

Officers forced this inmate into a special cell. This inmate was forced to throw his feces because the officers turned off his plumbing. I was forced to scream and yell, and I would bang on my bunk.

This time I didn’t wait for Elgin [Mental Health Center] to get a bed. I forced them [to move me], though I am patient.

I was ridiculed by jailers; separating us was the only way to protect me.

This inmate is especially marked by extreme force or sudden intense activity. I show strong feeling. I do not lie. I am kind. I hope I persevere. I never fail.

Jesus Christ is Lord. Give me justice.
