DIXON – Although Mumford & Sons won’t be taking the stage in Dixon again this summer, the city will not be left out of the band’s Gentlemen of the Road tour.

Dixon’s very own Gina Venier and the Gentlemen will be featured in a lineup Friday in Troy, Ohio, during the stopover a day before Mumford & Sons performs.

Similar to Dixon last summer, Troy will host a downtown festival with 3 days of music on two different stages Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

“We are very happy to see the continued connection that Mumford & Sons, Jam Productions, and Jay Goldberg Productions has to the Dixon community,” said Josh Albrecht, executive director of Dixon Main Street. “It’s very exciting that Gina Venier and the Gentlemen will get to be a part of this year’s stopover.”

Venier’s band is scheduled to take the Market Street stage there at noon Friday.

Troy, a city of about 25,000, is 6.5-hour ride from Dixon and one of three of the band’s U.S. stopovers. Guthrie, Okla. and St. Augustine, Fla., are the other two.

You can follow Venier on Facebook, or go to www.exploretroyohio.com for more information.
