BLOOMINGDALE – Anita Louise Diomar, 66, of Bloomingdale, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at her home.

Anita was born April 3, 1947, in Sterling, to Floyd and Angeline (Mickeletto) Matera. She married James Diomar in 1997, in Bloomingdale. Anita worked as a medical staff coordinator at West Suburban Hospital for 35 years, and then at Elmhurst Hospital for 5 years.

Survivors include her husband, James of Bloomingdale; one son, Steven (Stephanie) Hill; two stepsons, Mike (Sarah) Diomar and Ron (Jenny) Diomar; one sister, Nancy (Duane) McCune, and one sister-in-law, Susan Matera, both of Sterling; five grandchildren, Brianna, Jonathon, Rachel, Madison, and Josh; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Floyd J. Matera; and one granddaughter, Korissa.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Ave., Sterling. Funeral liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling, with the Rev. Bruce Ludeke, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.
