United States of America, June 2013: Not free to live without being used, worship where we want, eat what we would like, and live in peace.
Not free to have our children loved, choose who we want to be married to, have money to buy gas or fix our cars, have money to pay for electricity, or have decent medical care.
After recently being in Chicago, these I thought of even more. Not free to live without disease, not on the streets, abusive family members, abusive friends, abusive leaders and racism, or to see the possibility of a future.
If you don’t win the respect of somebody, you don’t deserve to be loved by them.
