David L. Meiners

MORRISON – David L. Meiners, 66, of Morrison, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at his home. He worked for General Electric in Morrison for 34 years, retiring in 2003.

David was born April 25, 1947, in Sterling, the son of Karl H. and Clara E. (Farwell) Meiners.

Survivors include one daughter, Tina (Shawn) Scott of Lyndon; one son, Brian (Cheryl Hook) Meiners of Morrison; three grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Dennis Meiners of Dixon and Dana (Teresa) Meiners of Sterling.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Dale Meiners.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Ken Renkes, director of congregational care at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

A memorial has been established to Morrison-Rockwood State Park.
