Sandra K. Henson

ROCK FALLS – Sandra K. Henson, 66, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

She was born Jan. 22, 1947, in Sterling, a daughter of James and Irene Tabor. She married Charles E. Henson on April 29, 1976. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2012.

Sandy worked at National Manufacturing in Sterling for 26 years, retiring in 2004. She enjoyed fishing, playing Yahtzee, accessorizing, shopping, and socializing with her friends from work.  

Surviving are her daughter, Janie (Jason) Schlesener of Fulton; her sons, Kevin (Carla) Henson and Jamie Williams, both of Rock Falls; her grandchildren, Angela, Ashley, Kayla, Karissa, Kodie, Tyler, Mercedes, Darreon, Delaina, Sahvahna, and Jaylyn; brothers, Jim Tabor of Tampico, Ken Tabor of Rock Falls, Charles Tabor of Galt, and Rick Tabor of Rock Falls; and great-grandchildren, Carmindy, Jevin and Trevor. 

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and a son, Tracy.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday and the memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks officiating. McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls is handling arrangements.
