Matching funds deadline nears

FULTON – Less than 2 weeks remain for donations to help Fulton organizations qualify for endowment funds.

Donations will be matched up to $17,000.

Gifts to date total about $12,000, which leaves about $5,000 still to be claimed.

Gifts must be mailed by Aug. 31 or the money will be lost.

Donations may be made to one or more funds set up through Fulton Association for Community Enrichment.

They include the FACE Community Impact Fund, D.S. Flikkema Foundation, David and Lida Flikkema Memorial Fund, Friends of the Windmill Endowment, Fulton Gardens Fund, Fulton Firemen’s Fund, Fulton Policemen’s Fund, Fulton Historical Society Endowment, Harbor Crest Foundation, Martin Museum Fund, Schmaling Memorial Public Library Endowment, Volunteer Millers Endowment, and Windmill Area Membership Fund.

The challenge is being coordinated by the FACE, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend.
